Normani Hamilton Fifth Harmony

Normani Hamilton is 1/5 of the ultimate X-Factor girl group Fifth Harmony. It was a long road for Normani who did not audition for X-Factor as a member of a group. She performed as a solo artist and wowed the judges with her soul and power. Normani made the judges fall in love with her. But during boot camp Simon Cowell, LA, Demi and Britney did not feel she was powerful enough to go any further in the competition as a solo artist. She was eliminated but called back following the boot camp eliminations. Producers and Simon Cowell created a group from eliminated members. Dinah, Camilla, Ally Brooke, Lauren and Normani became Lylas. The new group went through a series of name changes in the competitions. Lylas, 1432 and now it’s settled Fifth Harmony. The girls made it to the top 12 and are still fighting to win and become the first group X-FACTOR winners.

Normani Hamilton Kordei was born in Atlanta Georgia but raised in New Orleans Louisiana. Following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Hamilton and her family were uprooted from home and moved to Houston Texas. Since the age of Four she has been a lover of music. Her favorite artist are Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce Alicia Keys and Aretha Franklin. There is no doubt this soul singer was meant to sang. Prior to auditioning on X-Factor and joining Fifth Harmony Normani was a noted gospel singer.

Not only does she know how to belt a note but she can also dance. That’s one trait the other members of Fifth Harmony love so much about their sister. She is considered the entertainer. With such a range in dance styles she can almost get her groove on to any song on the radio. Jazz, Hip-Hop, Ballet, Tap and Modern are just a few of the dance genres she is known to get down too. With such talents Normani has won a series of awards and honors including receiving a spot in the prestigious group LA Entertainment Dance League.  She is also a great gymnast. She has won Louisiana and Texas Regional and State awards. If she hadn’t found X-Factor and been in Fifth Harmony would she have made it to the all girls Olympics Gymnastics Team? She could do just about anything.
